NP They're Scorpion Zero's. Bargain from Duckworths with the wheels. Had 17 " Goodyear'Ats before, though hard to compare the 2 as we didn't have snow like this last year. Feeling is that the Goodyears may be better, but the zero's are better for general driving. Indus Silver

I've just taken a set of Pirelli P Zero Rosso's off my wifes A3 Quattro, they were completely useless. The car was twitchy going in a striaght line let alone attempting a bend. Replaced with some Goodyear Eagle F1's, which seem much better already!

Re: Collecting Snow

A couple of things:
1. I think all cars do this but you're more able to see it because the space 'twixt the wheel and arch is that much bigger and it builds up more.
2. It'll also be less prone to being broken off - on a low-slung 'carpet creeper', a small bump in the road could be enough to knock the build-up off. You'd have to drive down a damn kerb before you'd catch ours!
3. As someone said, you're probably going out in the snow more than the creepers - I'm certainly the only one who's left tracks in the office carpark....

4. If it's none of the above, who do I call when my car develops a growth? Wink

Can't turn the wheel, hu? It's clearly a design feature: you can use them to lock the front end when you park on a slope!

As mentioned in another thread I have noticed the FL2 collects snow behind the front wheels, this builds up so much it hinders the turning of the wheels while stationary.

Thought its not noticable when driving, as the rotating wheel shaves the snow off
