Has anybody opted for the extended warranty?

I haven't, as i bought a new car before mine ran out , but reading about warranty over on Disco3 and RRSport, there seems to be cheaper options than LR can offer (they offer warranty with/without breakdown)

Tesco Finest was a good option, but they now don't cover the D3 now due to claims history, but might cover the FL2, Warranty Direct & The AA sounded good cover and there is a sponsor offering it on RRSport and Disco3 now, but i don't know the level of cover on offer and what cost, but been a RRS owner I am sure he has looked towards a suitible leval of cover. Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Warranty Direct quoted £791.84 for the Luxury car policy warranty cover

you could get nearly 3 years cover for that with the one on disco3

Any one found out how much the extended warranty is from LR - 3rd birthday coming up

Warranty Direct covers wear and tear when others including the disco3 one above do not.

I bought / buy Warranty Direct policys to cover vehicles not under manufcturers warranty and they work!

Don't take the price they quote on-line and they will call you with a lower quote normally

Any other feedback on other warrantys?

I've been quoted (by local dealer) £600 incl LR Assist, or £400 excl, for my HSE when it reaches its 3rd birthday in Feb. With 0% on direct debit over 10 months, means that I can avoid the terrifying prospect of a Land Rover out of warranty...

Only issue is that it excludes audio and sat nav equipment.

I thought it might be around the 600/700 mark....hmmm needs to think about that a bit!

I'll be going for the £400 excl LR Assist option, combined with AA membership (as LR Assist is now owned by the AA, and 9 times in 10, you call LRA, but the AA turn up, being 'the closest patrol').

Reckon £400 for a year's (relative) peace of mind is money well spent.

Yes I think you're right there. I'd pay £400 for the peace of mind.

Do you discuss about a prolongation of a warranty or only about an increase of its functionality?

Sorry for my wry English. I began to study it recently.
I'll be thankful for your corrections of my mistakes

Can our site sponsor shed some light on this,as I am up for the three years soon and some must be past,and at what level the 4th year at dealer discretion L/R contribution actualy would get you should something go wrong.
I would like to know actual cost of L/Rs package and its limitations!!
I am sure lots of business could be gained by some facts!!
