Considering a Body Kit on HSE

Thumbs Up Hi,

This is my first post on this forum, and would like to say hello.I have found this site to be very informative

I have a Hse 2009 and was considering fitting the Sport Body Kit,but was concerned if this looked right with the 18" Wheels as standard.I know the 19" look great but wondered if the ride quality was impaired?I know the kit looks good from the front with the wheels turned out,but find it not pleasing on the eye from the side,or is that just me?

Also I think the kit is very much colour dependent and looks fantasic on the Rimini Red.........And Grey........

any throughts please.

Jade-Asha

I have the kit and the 19in Shadow chromes, The best thing I ever did it looks a million times better than a standard car, 18in wheels look crap with a kit and so do 19in triple sports come to that.

I have had the car over 2 years now and I normally only keep cars for 15-18 months if I hadn't fitted trhe kit at 12mths I would be in a RRS by now even though I love the drive of my freely.

About the 19" wheels, are they really inferior to 18" in terms of ride quality? I have 19" but haven't got a chance to compared it to a 18" or 17".

I use 16" for winter tyres and 18" for summer tyres - the only difference in ride must be the tyre type (rubber, tread etc) but what difference would you expect on wheel size alone Question
19" look good for asphalt driving, but I would'nt use them off road as they will easily get scratched up and look crap after Wink
Its a wonder my 18" hav'nt got a scratch or two yet Shocked 2007 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Manual with Premium Pack & Moonroof.
