Your wrong Dave Shocked - the PDC is activated automatically.

The Prog button is just a defroster turning on the rear and front screen heaters as well as the normal coupe heater full blast on the windows. 2007 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Manual with Premium Pack & Moonroof.

Well, we have 2 FL2's, and in neither of them does the PTC heater switch on automatically. It requires human intervention.

Either we have 2 faulty cars, which is highly unlikely, or certain individuals on here ain't got a clue what they're talking about. ______________________

both me and my mate who has an fl2 noticed the difference last spring as soon as the PTC was replaced in the recall. much faster heat without using the prog button.

PROG does force the fan to run faster so will maybe transport the heat to you faster, but turning the fan up will do the same. At work

Hi guys, just thought I'd add my radiator cover is made of a fleece blanket. It is still slightly breathable but stops large muddy puddles clogging the radiator.

Secondly I can confirm PTC heater is definatly electric otherwise how do you explain the 100A fuse being pulled when they had the recall.

Thirdly I think I have to go with the boys who say its automatic, ie its on when it needs to be on even if your heating is not set to automatic. Freelander 2 XS 2.2 TD4 Met Black, with Winter pack, 18" alloys with General Grabber AT2 wellies, MANTEC Sump and Tank Guards
