I briefly used terrain response off road last weekend on grass, ice, snow setting. When returning to noranl roads I switched it back to highway setting. Next morning the car started up in grass setting again, as it has done twice today

Thx for responses. Clearly tis a bit odd ........... it started as G G S two days running despite me sitching it back to motorway manually each time. Third day, and after longer drive, it now seems fine and stays in motorway setting.

Bit of snow over last couple of days caused me to use Terrain Response on GGS. Switched it back to normal mode before switching off.

Worth a try, but my co-driver swears that when truning the dial back to normal, if you turn it one more notch, it will be in the normal position when the car is started next time and not in the grass/snow/gravel mode. Sort of cancels out the bug. I never remember to do this so I dont know if it really works or not 2007 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Manual with Premium Pack & Moonroof.

Mine did this too yesterday. I used snow mode when I went to rescue someone struggling with frozen snow on the local roads. Switched back to normal but found it selected snow mode again when started later.

Cheers Andys - I had read this in the earlier posts and have tried it with very mixed results - some times it works then sometimes not.
