Had a rather tall rear passenger last night so I angled my back rest forward a little to increase rear leg room. but then disaster, the backrest will not go back. more ham fisted messing with the switch followed and now Im pressed against the steering wheel, the seat goes forward but will not go back |

Same thing has happened to me today, waiting to pick the wife up from Teesside Park so had a few minutes to spare, why don’t I fiddle with the seat I thought. The seat is now stuck, can still slide forward and backwards, but will not recline backwards, but will go forwards.

dont know how I fixed it it just worked, the trouble is in the process of trying to work it,you keep pressing forward until the seat ends up stuck at a back squashing angle |

That’s what I was afraid of, so once I realised things were not right I left well alone, I can still drive in relative comfort so will see what the garage has to say in the morning, |

Job done, the chaps at Stratstone had a look at it, after taking the seat base off and putting it on again everything’s working fine. They don’t know if it was a fault with the motor or switch but suggested it may have been a loose wire / connection from the previous work on the seat.
