My FL2 is due it's first service in January and just wanted to know if anyone had any experience of dealers around the Stafford area.

The local two are Stratstone in Stoke and Stafford Land Rover, I don't mind travelling slightly further if the service/price is right. Currently quoted £350, but I'm sure that could be reduced with a bit of bartering.

I used Guy Salmon Land Rover in Knutsford who did my second service for £250 all in, including a non-LR courtesy car after I asked them to price match a local non-franchise LR specialist as per the offer on the Guy Salmon LR Knutsford web site.

I've used Stafford before when they reporgrammed the computer for the towbar, and my car went to stoke via Land Rover Assist.

For information I had a letter from Stoke saying they had booked my car in for a service and have been followed up by a phone call to confirm the booking, they were politely told no, especially when they told me the price £445. Having been disappointed with the service from them before I won't be going back again.

I got the impression from Stafford that the price they quoted was 'flexible'.
