I had the same problem last year around this time, mentioned it at the 1st service and the dealer changed a control unit (i think) that sorted it till about 2 weeks ago now it's started doing it again!!

Funny that - mine is doing exactly the same for the third autumn/winter running. Started again about 2 weeks ago!

Mine does it as well, so I use the manual override.......... the rotory light switch down to the right change it from 'auto' to 'off' |

This is the third car I've had with auto lights and they've all been a bit crazy. I do the same as Npinks and let them do what they want!! Gone - TD4 XS Auto, Sumatra Black, Mud flaps and side strips, clear indicators, private plate, privacy glass |

My previous car was a Tangiers Orange (G4) Discovery II; in 20 (30k miles) months of owning my Stornoway Grey FL2, I have been run into twice (not in the dark!). I am therefore happy that the lights are a bit prone to early lighting and slow to switch off as I am less of a "stealth" car like that.

Auto lights depend upon light level and light angle, if the sun is low (i.e. in winter) the lights will come on to improve visibility to other drivers even if the ambient light levels are relatively good.... clever LR |

Mine seem to be confused by daytime fog as I often have to switch the lights on then but like the rest of you they seem to on all time in these winter days, sunny or not. Ralph
