Can't decide what to do next year though when my Fl2 goes, it's a choice between a D3 or a defender Confused

defenders can have little fold down steps, but then again a Disco lowers its air springs to help you climb aboard Laughing

defenders have had their day really , yes they are fun to play in but the downsides are to great , and why give up airbags and crumple zones etc Neutral The idea that a big 4x4 is safe for the driver is crazy. A mate of mine quite 'gently' rolled a defender and the roof collapsed nearly down to the dash, he will never travel in one again.

A local farmer was driving down the road in one and decided the drivers door needed slamming properly , (happens a lot in them) when he opened the door to slam it a bus hit the door and broke his arm Rolling with laughter .

Also the svx? defender is the campest thing ever invented At work

United Kingdom 2011 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Manual Rimini Red

Hi

how you 'gently' roll anything I'm not sure Laughing

I've driven both D3 and Defender but lived with neither. Each has their own merits especially with the much improved Defender interior but I suppose it depends on how much cash you have to splurge as to what you are looking at. Either way though you are looking at a car thats going to drink like a fish but will bring you lots of smiles Very Happy

Each to their own - its not going to be an easy choice! BUT if it was my choice it would have to be the D3 just to feel cossetted and still have the ability to go almost anywhere! There's always a way forward!

2008 Freelander Td4 GS - Stornoway Grey - Now Gone - Sob
2011 Freelander Td4 GS 150 - Rimini Red - in its place - Better x far x 4!!

But if you had used it in GGS setting were you should have used it (like in GGS) your fuel consumption would be way lower Whistle

Has anybody tried a full tank, fuel consumption test using the "sport" mode on asphalt Question 2007 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Manual with Premium Pack & Moonroof.
