i couldnt rename but could drag and drop/overwrite by using explorer to open the device as a drive.

interstingly when you reset (using the button underneath, or one of the random resets i have experienced) these two files return to the original sony ones..

No luck at all for me I've tried both Vista (64bit) and XP (32bit) - both refuse to overwrite, rename, delete, change properties of the Windows directory files.

My Sony OS version is 2.1.00 (317) New: Freelander2 GS 62 plate (MY13) - Santorini Black with Clearview & Front PDC

Apparently there are three additional hidden partitions on the devices. One, mounted volume 4, contains a full copy of the original files and re-writes the system partition on reset. New: Freelander2 GS 62 plate (MY13) - Santorini Black with Clearview & Front PDC

I forgot to post my solution - first copy the service and startup bitmaps to a writable directory on the device and then move them into the windows folder. Dunno why it makes a difference Neutral New: Freelander2 GS 62 plate (MY13) - Santorini Black with Clearview & Front PDC

I've actually got one fully boxed, as new that I intended to put on eBay last night (but forgot). Anyone interested? This is the version with Bluetooth but without TMC - I've already added Speed Camera DB, u.pgraded to the latest firmware and added the newest map New: Freelander2 GS 62 plate (MY13) - Santorini Black with Clearview & Front PDC

SONY NV _83 RETRO FIT SATNAV

thanks just ordered one. Very Happy

Good choice, I can post more pics if you have issues installing it, I used a 10mm drill bit to open up the left-hand hole & the only issue I had was accidentally knocking off the connecting arm for the air vent behind the open/close 'wheel' when I was feeding the lead through Censored ....which after abit of fiddling I was able to snap back on! Thumbs Up

Also, the fit is pretty snug, not jammed in but also not loose & 0.60mph in 11.6 secs means it won't come flying out under 'heavy' acceleration Laughing
