Blackberry connection

Does anyone know if the built in 'bluetooth will connect to a blackberry.
Tried quickly last evening and it didn't find it.
Is this a 'phone issue, a car issue or an operator error? 2009 Grey HSE Auto

HI

Depends on the blackberry, if you do a quick search, there's been a few posts about this.

If you don't get anywhere, let me know, as I've gotten quite a few different models working and can prob help

Hi,

I had a problem with my BlackBerry 8800, for a few of them you need to download the BlackBerry Pairing Helper application from the BlackBerry website. If you get your blackberry to access this URL http://mobileapps.blackberry.com/devicesof...=bluetooth it will download onto your BB, then run the app and then try the pairing process again and all should be good!! May be easier to email the link to your BB to save typing depending upon the BB!

Hope this works for you, it took me ages and a call to the friendly dealer to get it sorted so I really empathise with you!

Have had Pearl, Storm and now Curve 8900 all working with no dowloads. The big however is that although network displayed, numbers display and the steering wheel controls start and stop a call the names do not display. Unless you know the numbers off by heart you need to use handset to make a call. I think pearls may now be fully supported? Anyone know? Nick Lago Grey Ebony HSE auto, 19" alloys, privacy glass

Blackberry Bold syncs in ok for me, it tells me who is calling, address book loads ok, missed calls and recent calls etc. It did have trouble getting the car to sync to the phone, it worked first time when getting the Bold to sync to the car. p****d off with a Digital Keyboard Warrior

For new blackberries, have a look at http://www.freel2.com/forum/topic4165.html?highlight=blackberry

I've now managed to get all models working with full phonebook support, let me know if you get any problems.

Having paired both my HTC Touch Pro 2 and Blackberry 8520 I can say thata the compatibility on the Blackberry is stunning. Everything seems to work. Last night I even walked up to the car in a call, sat in and turned the engine on to get some heat and after a couple of seconds the whole system transfered to the car BT without dropping the call or me doing anything. Now if only the TP2 could even hold a BT connection that would be good.

Thanks Rich. Finally had time to make the download and connect the 'phone. Seems to have all the functions, I will find out more as I use it.

Again many thanks for your invaluable help.
