Thanks. I think showroom right-offs must be relatively common, people driving an unfamiliar car and trying "too hard" not to prang it. Last edited by NightFox on 6th Aug 2007 12:32 pm. Edited 1 time in total |

Well it looks like it'll be another couple of weeks before I'm able to pick up a replacement vehicle, but as that will be 25th August it potentially gives me a dilemma - whether to wait another week and get it on a 57 plate rather than an 07. Normally, for the sake of an extra week it would be a no-brainer, but I've been without any car for 3 weeks now, and another 2 weeks is going to be a killer without even thinking about another week on top of that.

I've found that dealers looked at the date of my 52 reg, and as it was 2003, rather than 2002 it made a slight difference, but nothing much.

Glad it's not just me that thinks 07 "looks better" than 57. |

Double 02 shaken not stirrrrrrrrrrrrred.. after watching the advertising video for the FL2 i thought it would have survived a bloody tractor passing it in a puddle... sure they will probably put it down to the mudflaps or the fact the trator was traveling tooooooo fast well anyway i hope it works out for you had and had a great holiday in a rental lol. By the way my FL2 is really going well and i will definety buy another when its time too change........touch wood. |

I thought the car dropped into a 3' ditch? That's the way I read it, I wouldn't expect a Fl2 to cope with that especially stationary (so you can't use the bow wave effect) D4 HSE Lux for me

Yes, it did disappear into 3' of water, and sat like that for over half an hour. It was the dealer to whom the car was recovered who didn't listen to what I was telling them and passed on to the assessor the story that I got splashed by a tractor.

Yes, it would be interesting to know how much some salvager's going to pay for it, and where all the bits will end up. Maybe my loss will be another Freel2.com member's cheap replacement body panel at some point in the future?
