Anyone fancy a toy? - Astra VXR running at 374bhp!!!

Hi all,

I know its not an FL2 but wondered if anyone still misses some proper performance?? If so I have an Astra VXR on a 2006 56 reg in Arden Blue (best colour). The car has been heavily modified at a Vauxhall tuning specialist & is currently running at 374bhp (yes, 374bhp!!!). I bought it as a toy for when Im not in my FL2 HSE, Im looking for around £13k (conversion cost over £7k!!!), if it sells through here I will make a good contributuon to the site!!

That's the fella!!!

Hi all,
Yes that is my car on Pistonheads, slightly different from driving my Tambora Flame FL2 but what the hey!!!

I personally think the 374bhp is enough, some out there at 400+ bhp!!!

United Kingdom 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Manual Tambora Flame

Hi everyone,
OK, I guess my VXR is a little on the extreme side for most!!! I don't know if anyone is interested but I can get hold off a very, very nice Skoda Octavia VRS 2.0T (petrol) on a 2006 55 registration. The car is the newer shape Octavia and is in very good condition with 47k miles on her. The car has half leather, loads of T&T and full history having also just had 4 new Premium tyres fitted!!! I drive these on a daily basis for work (unmarked with secret blue lights if you get my drift!!!), they are an absolute cracking bit of kit!!! The car is £7500ono, a cheap new shaped Octavia. If it sells through here a donation will be made to the site.

Pics can be supplied.

He is selling a car andyc, which may not be a FL2 but he has not broken any rules on here as it appears to be his car that's he has replaced with his FL2.

If you find it Boring then move on and find a post that relivant to you and your interests on this forum or Read the manual again which you seem to be fond of Laughing Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Had intended this as a PM, but so what!
Yes, maybe it is time to move on Neutral ............as you are allowing our Freelander2 forum to become a free for all forum, grossly influenced by a PR sick farmer who seems bent on changing most of the forum threads to suit his own personal likes and dislikes in life. Certainly the standard of threads has been lowered considerably during the last year and I can guess that I am not the only one that considers his continual nonsense as boring. Of course everybody likes a laugh occasionally on every forum and even the grumpy remarks made about some of my comments may amuse some of the less adult members of the forum, but to be honest this just an attempt by those to deflect a different point of view away from the nonsense that has been commented on. I could list up a number of original forum members that have earlier contributed a lot of interesting topics and who no longer post on the forum, but then you Nick are quite aware of who these are and how long ago they have posted anything.

It may also occur to you one day, that this forum would be much better off as a purely UK forum, as most of the topics and threads posted by foreign members are mostly ignored or not even taken with much interest and therefore presumably not worth seriously commenting on by UK members. This may be the reason also that fewer and fewer posts come from foreign members. Even an attempt to create a Scandinavian section of the forum has been largely ignored by Scandinavian members that were given an opportunity to comment on locally related topics in their own language, but even this has been not allowed to function without stupid interference. For us living in Scandinavia this would have been a real benefit to exchange FL2 information because of our different driving conditions, living standard and FL2 specification which are way different from those in the UK.

Move on, maybe, but unfortunately provisionally there is not much choice for FL2 owners in Scandinavia and the only active one in Norway is mostly for FL1 owners. However the quality of Land Rover topics here is far more relevant than many diverts on Freel2. 2007 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Manual with Premium Pack & Moonroof.
