Sport and Aspen LE's

Dear all,

NPinks has alerted me to this thread! Wink

There is only outline provisional information at the moment, therfore please take the details below with a pinch of salt until I am able to post the proper product brief:

Freelander 2 Aspen -

The Aspen will be offered in a choice of two colours, Alaska White and Santorini Black. 500 vehicles will be built initially, 150 in white and 350 in black. Both will be available in late December / early January.

* 17" Wheels
* Privacy Glass
* Loadspace Cover
* Ebony Interior

White vehicle £19,495^
Black vehicle £19,995^

Freelander 2 Sport -

The Sport will have a unique interior trim as a fresh and exciting addition to the FL2 range. The vehicle will be offered in either Lago Grey or Santorini Black for the non-bodykit version and Lago Grey for the bodykit version (more on that below). 500 vehicles will be built initially, 200 of which will be built in January in Lago grey with the bodykit, with the remaining 300 non-bodykit vehicles being split equally between grey and black in December.

* Colour Keyed sills, handles and mirror caps
* Unique 19" Diamond Turned Alloys
* Bright Side Vent
* Roof Spoiler
* Sport Badge
* Cloth & Leather Sports seats with Storm centre panels, ebony boarders and Storm headrests
* 'Sport' embossed headrests
* Storm stitching to door casings
* Bound and Branded 'Sport' carpet mats

Bodykit Version will also have:

* Napoli Leather
* New Front & Rear Bibs
* Side Sills
* Exhaust Finishers
* Lago Grey Only
* Manual Gearbox Only (bodykit vehicle)

Non-Bodykit vehicle £26,695 (Auto box available at an extra cost of £1410)^
Bodykit vehicle £27,945 (inc Napoli Leather Cost)^

^ Prices are on the basis of 17.5% VAT in January but may be subject to change before an official release is made.

I will post again once the network have an official definative vehicle spec. I believe that dealers will be allocated vehicles dependent on their size and location. There in not a usual margin for dealers due to the nature of the LE, therefore there are not likely to be 'deals' and it is unlikely that these vehicles will be inculded in Land Rovers Q1 2010 consumer offers. I will clarify once I know.

I hope that this helps in the meantime?

James Thumbs Up

As China is the world's largest & cheapest producer of garlic the spec of Nick's newly christened "Sport LE" begins to smell very unsavoury Exclamation

Laughing If you had a big enough sink you could use it, and have a spare wheel cover as a plug?

Glad I have HSE wheels and will stick with them thanks Thumbs Up

Sport LE is not a bad name if you want a sport Freelander Confused Rolling Eyes - But ASPEN is a crap name, but presumably aimed at the US-market. Who in the UK or Europe for that matter would want that name painted on your vehicles ass Question I mean, Freelander 2 Aspen Crying or Very sad Laughing Whistle 2007 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Manual with Premium Pack & Moonroof.
