Noticed the same issue a while ago, rectified it by turning on/off.

They couldn't fix mine in 2.5 years of owning it with sensors, modules and software update

Since I installed my entertainment system the tone that produces is much more silent. In fact I have to turn down the sound to hear it well enough. There is a mute button I use. |

Continous tone - poorly designed sensors, my rear sound constant whenever it rains! Would be interesting to know if there is a way to lower the volume of them? Now - 2017 BMW X3 M Sport Carbon Black

YEP,mines just the same.been in for repair but they couldnt find anything wrong, after a heated argument with them they said they would change the sensors.Next timed it rained, just the same, unfortunatly its a common fault, atleast we can hit the off button.would love to hear if there is a fix for this problem,my discovery 2 with rear sensors never once played up no matter how much it rained.didnt see a bloody thin steel rod which i reversed in to though, cost me a new bumper |

Wow it was like a full orchestral arrangement in my FL2 this morning! Put it into reverse and got the 'im wet so f k you' constant tone. Weirdly though after a second I got the same constant but slightly higher tone from the front sensors, then a second later the lower tone from the rear ones, then the front, then the back aarrrrgggghhhhhh!! I had the windows down as I was reversing off the drive and someone walking past heard the racket and turned their head, personally I think they thought i was an ice cream van and fancied a 99! Well, I got the car back yesterday afternoon after two days at the dealership. The main fault it went for was the sensors (it took two days awaiting new tow bar - see seperate post). Apparently the park assist system has been reset and ''all is now fixed''. Finished my coffee and was shown to my 'clean' car. Started it up, put it in reverse, the warning beep sounded (all looking ok so far......) reversed backwards into an open space and then..... high pitch beep from the front, low pitch beep from the rear, high pitched beep from the front....I think you get the picture here, (shilen does that sound familiar !!!). Left the car exactly were it was and walked back into the dealers..... they are ordering a new ECU and 8 sensors on monday next week |

Update - new ECU, new colour coded front sensors and new rears fitted - picked it up tonight, bouncing down with rain i.e perfect conditions to make the fault happen, and all is well......so far ! |

It's a common fault due to water ingress. My rears were done last year and the fronts are being sorted this year before the warranty runs out. Freelander 2 HSE Lux 2013MY - Barolo Black with Ivory Leather. Alpine DVD - Privacy -Evoque 20" Dynamic Wheels and more to come......... |

Updated, update - Not fixed, work when they want, beep front and rear for no reason and when the van is on the back it's supposed to cut out the rear sensors which it doesn't.... back on the phone Monday next. |

My car has just been in for the third time for the same thing. My dealer state there is no solution to it at the moment. I wrote to LR Relationship Centre and they told me to take it to my dealers If there's heavy rain my sensors just pack up. I believe it's linked to water getting into the front sensors. My Dad's GS with rear sensors only does not have any issues.

Yes it always is when it's raining - I've had (apparently) new front and rear sensors and a new control unit, software updates galore and still they work when they want...either continuous at the back or front and on days of the week with a 'y' in, and alternates between the front and rear tone.
