I use a presumably acid wheel cleaner - Turtle Wax Nano-Tech (the worst kind maybe ) but have never seen any signs of corrosion on my 2-sets of LR alloys. Maybe you are not using the stuff correctly 2007 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Manual with Premium Pack & Moonroof.

Hi thanks for the replies. CG its the old 6 spoke gs alloys about a year and bit old. Ive had several sets of alloys on different motors and never seen it before.

Fairy liquid is loaded with salt etc not good for cars/wheels . At work

I used washing up liquid on my cars for years and never hurt them, but the 'experts' do say not to as they sell you expensive alternatives.

I use Turtle Wax - Zipwax, for the whole car. It's great stuff My wheels are corrosion free thus far. Gone - TD4 XS Auto, Sumatra Black, Mud flaps and side strips, clear indicators, private plate, privacy glass |
