I was Just wondering what products people use and what would they recommend to fellow members?

I'm looking for

Shampoo,
Polish,
Bumper Care,
Sponges / Mitts.

What do you reckon is the best out there?

turtle wax 'wax it wet'..... quick and easy removal of water marks and leaves a good shine, used with a couple of drying towels don't need much else really  At work

smart wax .ive polished and sealed my paint work,very happy with the out come,and i use the shampoo,i got a santi black fl2 and these products work fab on black cars.the spray deatailer is good for that quick look good finish to.go to smartwax.com for info,belive you me autoglum are left in the dark ages after using this stuff.not cheap mind.

i use auto glym.

ultra deep shine polishes without removing any lacquer.
HD wax protects it.
bodywork shampoo cleans it.

its personal preference what you use but its best to keep to the same brand as each product is designed to work with the other products.

Shampoo, Dodo Juice Born to be Mild or auto glym shampoo
wheel cleaner billberry acid free or autoglym acid free
Polish, Poorboys Black hole
Bumper Care, peanut butter
Sponges / Mitts. Any wool mits or noodle mits

also 2 buckets one for shampoo one for rinsing the mitt in before a dunk in the shampoo again, this way you rinse out any caught grit and help keep the car swirl free

Once you have polished the car, a good layer or 2 of wax will help protect your finish longer, something like Auto Glym HD wax or I'd your buying online collinite 476s gets my vote

Amazing stuff but ruddy expensive.

Don't know if it's available in the UK but for the plastic, Aerospace 303 is awesome stuff!

I've used the Autoglym range for 16 years, and though I've tried other (so called superior, or advanced) products they normally languish on the shelf after a couple of applications, as I always revert to Autoglym. Particularly recommend their Bumpercare on LR dark grey plastic trim. It was superb on my FL1 and is just as good on the FL2, particularly if worked into the grain with a piece of old car sponge. I use their polish, sealant, bumpercare, wash and wax, tar remover. Don't like any liquid interior glass cleaner, but find most interior glass wipes work. Also use matt dash wipes for dashboard etc.

Wonderwheels for the Alloys, but only once a year. Follow this with standard or wheel polish.

Turtlewax Vinyl and Rubber Restorer for door seals etc.

RainX on windscreen and windows - when I can be bothered. Was GS TD4 Auto, Privacy, Santorini with Tundra & Alpaca, Cold Climate Pack. Traded for Discovery Sport HSE Auto.

Auto Glym is what i used prior to getting a machine polisher, as you use slightly different polishes with them and still user the Super Resin on the wifes car

I have read the Auto Glym HD wax is very good aswell, (2 coats 12- 24hours apart to aid a even application)

I used to use their aqua wax too, great product easy to use and you don't have to have dried the car fully before using it. I used the last of my bottle up at the end of last years caravaning season, giving the caravan a coat prior to putting it away. Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Mostly Autoglym shampoo, bumper care, clean wheels but for waxing I use P21S Gloss enhancing paintwork cleanser after washing then P21S Carnauba wax then Autoglym Extra gloss protection.

P21S is now rebranded R222 Phil

Autoglym motorcycle cleaner - buy it in 25L drum from local distributor. Use diluted through pressure washer/handwash or neat in hand spray instead of alloy cleaner. Armour All on black trim and tyres. Anything else needed as and when usually originates from Autoglym - i try other brands but keep going back to them.
