Two and Half Years of FL2!!!

Haven't posted for a while but thought I would just do a round up of issues we have had with our 'truck' over the past 2.5 years. This is not because I want to wail on Landy's (I love the bloody thing) but that if others have similar issues we might be able to help diagnose the problem. Lord knows I've thought about it a lot!! Anyway here we go:

Starter motor
Start button
Indicator stalk
Timing belt
Sunroof rails
Auto light / wipers sensor (somewhere in the steering wheel??) Shocked
Rear diff
Replacement bluetooth module
Fuel guage issue
No traction fault

Still love it Cool and I have to say (touch wood) it has never broken down either away from home or while driving it!! Laughing or maybe Bow down Freelander 2 TD4 HSE

Xenons
Lot's of mud!!!!

No REAL Problems

These are my only problems after 2.5 Years...

1. The Haldex failed - fixed under warranty (I assume this is your rear diff problem)
2. A strange fuel pump failure fixed itself (thus far)

As I expected when ordering, the FL2 has turned out to be the most reliable car in the LR range. Hail to Halewood... 2007 Freelander 2 HSE i6

It suprises me the Haldex box causes issues as that's been tried and tested for years. It's also an expensive piece of kit Shocked Gone - TD4 XS Auto, Sumatra Black, Mud flaps and side strips, clear indicators, private plate, privacy glass

Coming up on 2 years for me and the only real problem (touch wood), is that the blutooth sometimes has a fight with my phone, which sounds like cats being mistreated to the person I'm calling. Other than that 30,000 happy miles....

In all honesty, I'm very surprised how well the FL2 has held together. I knew the D3, RRS, FFRR all were lemons to some degree. But still I mustered the courage to buy a FL2 without driving. It was the first order signed in my country. All this courage was due to Halewood and a friend who was at the press presentation in Marocco. I never do blind bets, but this time it paid off... 2007 Freelander 2 HSE i6

It will be two years in January, -at present 53.000 kms, and no real problems.
Actually it is in for a warranty-repair today. Dont know what it was exactly, -something they discovered during service a few weeks back. I hadn't noticed anything.

I still love the car. I love driving it. I still admire it. And I know when the snow comes, I will have absolutely no problems getting ahead. They dont need to plow the roads on my account.
Actually, I wish they wouldnt plow the roads, so I can just drive past all those stuck in the snow. Laughing

Yes, I can definitely recomend the car for those concidering bying one.... FL2 that is. Cool 2008 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Automatic, Caspian Blue, Alpaca, Moon roof, Exclusive pack.

In my experience, that could just as easily be a problem with the phone. Blueteeth don't seem to be deliver quite what was promised. There's talk of general "wireless" capabilities being opened up, which will stop a lot of this blutooth nonsense, methinks? Indus Silver
