Norwegian Green Number Plates
Not exactly - Its all to do with government car tax.
They take out the rear seats and put a divider grill behind the front seats, and slap green number plates on to identify it. So you end up with a two-seater with LOADS of luggage space and a half price tag on new vehicles due to very low government tax. Biggish motors with green plates are very popular here, especially if you only need two seats and room for a dog, a sheep, or a cow maybe (if it lies down).

You get the rear seats (with the purchase) that can be refitted after a few years (when you have sold it on no doubt) without paying any extra tax or percent of it if you refit too early. Then you swap the green plates for the normal white ones.

Only government approved vehicles can be sold like this these days - some punters used to order sports cars, for example a Porsche, take out the legless dwarf back seats, and get it at half price on green plates until the boobies in power figured out they were being diddled out of some tax cash Whistle . 2007 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Manual with Premium Pack & Moonroof.

how many years do you have to keep it 2 seats? Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Much too long - I think it is 10-years for a full tax free refit of the rear seats. My neighbours have recently done this on their second car, but my other half would never drive an old car if our first car was new Rolling Eyes 2007 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Manual with Premium Pack & Moonroof.
