I don't think it's allowed to use these Xenon lights as they are missing the auto levelling part of the xenon lights. Which are a must in the EU. And for that price it can't be very great quality. If I were to put these lights in my FL2 it won't be homologated by the Technical Inspection Authority. Freelander 2 SE 4Td Izmir Blue, Dog cage for Alaskan Malamute, iphone Navigon Navigator |

I thought the auto levelling etc only had to be there for factory fitted xenon headlights. 09MY FL2 Td4 XS, Style Pack, Privacy Glass, Martinique Blue.. oh so very blue.. |

I just cant live without xenons - even my Caddy van has them, having said that I dont like the aftermarket versions where you use the original headlamps as the beam pattern is not correct and they look bad and blind other road users. |

I've just purchased these AFS Xenons on ebay allied with these error cancellers which I assume is the same combination as Doc. Can anyone tell me how I connect the two? I'm sort of assuming that the cancellers sit inside the headlight units connected between the balast and the headlight bulb? Also Doc - you mention it didn't take too long to adjust the new units. How does one do that? By eye?? Hi, If you remove the rear cover from the xenon's you will see a red and black wire that go from the lamp plug to the ECU that controls the xenon light, cut these two wires and join your cancellers there. I think there maybe a picture of this in "the doc" gallary. One of my staff has an FL2 with xenon's so we shone his lamps on a wall in work then put tape on the wall where the beams and used this as a guide for my Mrs headlamps, I suggest you take the car to an MOT station and ask them to align the lamps to MOT standard. Hope this helps but please feel free to ask for further help if required. Good to read through the fun you guys have been having here Regards The Doc Spiderdoc docspider? does what only a doc can do..... |
