Went on a balloon trip yesterday, which was a present for my 40th birthday last april.

If you look closely you'll notice we skidded a bit when we landed, like 4 or 5 times.

It must be the thing to do at 40, the family bought my dad a balloon ride for his.

Landing Fee, whats the going rate CG? Just incase somebody lands in my back garden  Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

In the absence of any previously agreed local practice, should a request be made for payment, the following amounts are suggested as a guide. (NB Any such fee is accepted without prejudice to any potential claim for damage caused.):

£4.00 for each passenger in a non-partitioned basket with a minimum of £10.00

£5.00 for each passenger in a partitioned basket,
with a minimum charge of £35.00 and a maximum charge of £80.00


above is assuming no crop damage, one balloon once dragged its basket about 200 yards across my potato field then flew off

The field was empty. We stole some sand that sticked to the basket but i don't know what the going rate is per handfull

Thing is you all paid the balloonist a fee which included the landing fee, but he never got caught by the farmer so more money for him . At work

Was it international ballon weekend? I must have seen a dozen of the things driving from Swindon to Aylesbury via Oxford. Wait no before you say it. The balloons were flying. I was driving. 58 HSE, auto, lago grey, tints. Mine and my dogs Storm and Sky

Could not see that far, even as far up in the sky as i was.

All CG prayers answered, trash a caravan and get a landing fee to boot!!

it would be a huge landing fee for that size balloon, with extra for the toxic threat posed by the van's chemical toilet  At work

CG, to say that you are so 'anti white wooden shed' you seem to know an awful lot about them (Possibly a secret desire to own one and experience the freedom !!)

know your enemy! I have been in a van on a van site, not a pleasant memory
However many years ago I spent the night (or two ) in a static caravan on a local campsite , A young lady was involved so where ever I laid my hat was my home those nights
