Wanted - Half Height Dog guard

Hello,

I'm after a half height Dog guard for my Freelander 2 genuine preferably. It seems the last ones I've bid on, on Ebay have gone as close to the cost of me buying a new one! I might consider a full length one but I have to consider I always throw my bike in the back and it might become a pain having to take it out!

If anyone has one or knows of one give us a shout!

Thanks

Adam

Thought only the full height ones were genuine, thought the half heights were all after markets, could be wrong through.

I looked at these and kept the cage which I used in previous vehicle however I found mcdonaldlandrover.co.uk
very helpful when I was looking and they quoted £70 plus vat plus £9 pp made by Britpart for the LRF2 but comes identical except box not printed Land Rover on outside.Part no.DA5801.Also trade as allmakes 4x4.co.uk
Worth a look.Good luck Very Happy 2010 HSE Galway Green auto GONE

Wow, I'd be interested to know just how you throw it in. Even with the back seats fully flat in my car it still takes an awful lot of fiddling about to get my bike in or............ do you have quick release wheels?? I don't because they're so easy to steal.

Throwing it in was probablly not the right use of the word.......delicately place it in! It does fit with the wheels on just, with the seats folded but I'll normally just take the front wheel off and it goes in easily. I do have quick release wheels, it's very rare I leave the bike anywhere for them to be stolen.

IIRC a member used to have somesort of bike holder bracket fitted along the back seat that when the front wheel was taken off it would hold the bike upright in the rear.

I can't recall his name but he was into MTB and had a link to a MTB club in his profile Embarassed Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis
