First, a question for those of you in Europe: Can you use the full functionality of the navigation systems while in motion, ie. enter an address without stopping? Front seat passengers only of course...

I have the Denso Navigation System and didn't noticed any lock while driving. Even in the motorway.

Thanks gents, this gives me hope that it is in indeed possible. I've been trying to find a hidden button on the display that will take me to a setup menu, which is the procedure I found for the Range Rover. So far, no joy... Greg East

It not all cars in the UK that allow driving and inputting addresses, My dads Lexus RX400h you have to be stopped to input the address. I have heard there is software updates to get around that, but can invalid the warrenty by doing so.

The US system is locked whilst in motion due to potential litigation , there is no hack , but there is sonmething called the car config file which determnes the market , the dealer may be able via the IDS diagnostic kit tell youre car that it is european in respect of nav and therefore the nav will work in motion |
