Thud

Project Kahn stuff always gives me a compulsive urge to buy and sell drugs...

For the price Kahn charge you could save money and buy an X6. You'd look a proper wan Censored er then for something that was properly engineered - not in the Kahn instance of bolting poorly styled tat onto a good car making it bad. These people make me Big Cry

That exhaust is a rip off.

The best thing to do in my opinion, is buy the 3.2 i6 rear silencer (£192) and clamp (£15) and fit them to your TD4, then either pay £30 for the two standard tailpipes like I have done, or buy a couple of twins and bolt them on.

I notice that the vehicle description on the tailgate is LR2 - is this something you have organized or is it standard to the HSE model?

Really do like your exhaust layout and at a relative bargain (for LR kit that is).

Thanks for posting.

LR2 is what they call the Freelander 2 in America. I just think the Freelander 2 badge is too long, and I like to be different! Freelander 2 HSE Lux 2013MY - Barolo Black with Ivory Leather. Alpine DVD - Privacy -Evoque 20" Dynamic Wheels and more to come.........

They may do, but the centre pipe needs inflating slightly. Heres how you do it.

1) Offer up the new i6 rear silencer up to the car directly below the TD4 silencer.
2) The i6 box has about 400mm of pipe coming out of it.
3) Then mark your existing TD4 centre pipe where the i6 pipe comes to an end.
4) Cut through your TD4 centre pipe and then remove the TD4 rear silencer and throw away.
5) Unbolt the centre pipe at the joint at the front.
6) Put the rear end of the centre pipe into a pipe mandrel, and inflate the end 2-3" to the same diameter as the i6 pipe.
7) Hang the new i6 on the existing TD4 exhaust hangers
Cool Using the clamp that Land Rover supply and tighten it all up.

It took about 45 minutes to do the whole job and the local custom exhaust place that did it for me charged me £35. Freelander 2 HSE Lux 2013MY - Barolo Black with Ivory Leather. Alpine DVD - Privacy -Evoque 20" Dynamic Wheels and more to come.........

Mav just a note I found that the diesel centre pipe slipped inside of the petrol muffler pipe without having to size the centre pipe it was a perfect fit. I used the i6 muffler clamp instead of the diesel clamp. So when fitting you cut the centre pipe 60mm longer and that goes into the petrol muffler pipe then clamp both of the pipes together and the jobs done.

Very interesting. I'll have to remember that for when we change our car. That ways seems less hassle than the way I did it. Although the only hassle to me was handing over the cash to do it!
