Just been informed today that the parts are still not available and they cant take them from the production line as the factory is shut for two weeks holiday. They are however going to ship the parts from Canada but cant give a timescale for this. Still got a car from enterprise which is fine but it doesn't have a towbar, i will need to get something to tow may caravan by the end of next week and will be speaking to the dealer to get something. |

Still no news on the parts and Enterprise are due to deliver me a car with a towbar today. I have also been told i am getting a Discovery HSE on Monday from Land Rover to use until my car is repaired. I am just glad Land Rover have a 3 year unlimited mileage warranty, i wouldn't like to be without a car for a prolonged time with no recourse to the manufacturer. |

As I've said before, I believe that you are wrong when you say "unlimited mileage"... See Warranty Benefits from LR (Page 4). The warranty is 3 years or 100.000 km, whichever comes first. http://www.ownerinfo.landrover.com/extfree...099801.pdf |

The warranty is different in different contries and in the UK the warranty package is 3 years and unlimited mileage. The garage and Land Rover have confirmed this.

Have you had to insure the RRS yourself when I needed a towbar via enterprise the said I had to insure it myself due to the fact their insurance policy doesn't cover towing Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis |

Mine is a company car and our fleet policy covers us for any declared vehicle whether its owned hired or on loan to the company. So it is covered for towing i hope. The only problem i had was that to be legal i need a number plate for the caravan but i cant get a number plate without the V5. Enterprise have now ordered a number plate and will be delivering it to me tomorrow morning at home.

Car now fully repaired and back in use. I'm a bit releived to find that the freelander is still such a great car and even after having a RRS for a few days i am glad to have my car back. I dont think i would want to pay £50k for the RRS when i can have a FL2 for around £30k. |
