Rear suspension when towing

Is there anything officially recommended to strengthen the rear suspension as I would like to keep the rear a bit higher when towing with boot full of heavy kit and an ever growing son in rear of car.

The car is obviously not struggling as such but just wondered if there was anything and whether it is advisable to use such items etc...

Thoughts appreciated

Nothing I have heard of Confused

Even with a full sized awning in the boot and the caravan on the back, I don't get too much drop

how much weight are you putting in the boot? Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Last journey boot had a full size 975 isabella awning with full set of poles along with an annexe with full set of steel poles and a full size equivilant heavy adult in one of the rear seats.

Its not dead low just wondered if anything available

Don't waste your time with spring assistors etc. Load it up and tow. It might dip an inch or so at the back, but nothing significant Thumbs Up Freelander 2.2e HSE , Privacy, Fully debadged, 19" Chrome SHadow alloys

Seem to remember that hitch weight is 150kgs with car at full load but that load goes up to 250kg IF you don't explore full load capacity in the car. I towed a 1400kg van with about 80kgs on the hitch and full car, it was solid as a rock.

And of course the great bounus about towing with the FL2 is oyu don't have to ***k about with the tyre pressures. Now that is soemthing I will miss in these post FL2 days! Stornoway Grey GS ... What a fine motor Smile ... but not any more ... Big Cry ... psst look at my gallery!

Gordon Bennett Avtur that Swedish m/c is just pig ugly. Not sure whether Emily is fitted with self levelling dampers because the ride height seems to come back after a few 100ms of travel, thats horizontal not vertical. still pining for my 3dr, no removeable hardtop, no drop glass tailgate, no roof rack, no pockets everywhere to stow all that man kit

Last year on our trip to France I put the awning etc in the boot and it hardly dropped.

This year my boot was totally empty, did'nt see the point when everything could go in the van. Freelander 2 HSE Lux 2013MY - Barolo Black with Ivory Leather. Alpine DVD - Privacy -Evoque 20" Dynamic Wheels and more to come.........
