Used FL2 prices set for drop - just like their drivers seats

Read over the weekend that the price of picking up a used FL2 is set to drop considerably soon as the first ones off the production line will soon be out of the 3 year warranty. Sure if you pick one up you will get dealer warranty (probably valid until you drive off the forecourt!) but would anyone want to chance their arm with a unwarrantied FL2??

Canada 2008 LR2 i6 HSE Auto Tonga Green

We get 4 year/ 80 000 km warranty in Canada. That is still less than the average new vehicle warranty period of 5 years/100 000 km. In the US some car manufacturers offer 10 year (Hyundai) or Lifetime power train warranties (Chrysler). I think Land Rover should at least raise the North American warranty period to 5 years because it does affect resale value. The resale value of a 4 year old Honda CRV, or Toyota Rav4 would be more than a 4 year old Freelander 1(not LR2/FL2) partly because it has one year left on its manufacturers warranty. The fastest way to fix public opinions about Land Rover reliability issues is to increase the warranty period. Just look at what Hyundai did in America .

Yep, Approved have to have 12 months LR Warranty, therfore it's the same as buying a 2 year old car (almost)!

The vehicles becoming older won't cause the values to drop; all it will mean is that there will be more people that can afford them which can only be a good thing.

England

But CG you have not got the nice 18 inch alloys, your alloys are normally bought by people who want the black rings for the genuine 18 alloys, or do you have those alloys to attract your eyes from the colour Whistle p****d off with a Digital Keyboard Warrior
