United Kingdom 2008 Freelander 2 TD4 S Manual Santorini Black
got a good deal on ebay i hope

Hi all, needed some new tyres and every where i rang they quoted around £200 per tyre for my 19" shadows
as you probably saw in my other post Mrs Valetec really kerbed one of the wheels,so i looked on ebay ,
i bid on and won 2x shadow wheels with tyres which are supposed to have 6mm tread left on each and i got them for £115 for both .......bargin i hope so but have not got them yet due here next week via courier
although my local land rover dealer is doing a deal £1000 for 4 shadow wheels and new tyres so basically you get the wheel for free good deal but did not want 4 or spend a grand at the mo . Wax on Wax off

United Kingdom 2013 Freelander 2 TD4_e XS Manual Firenze Red

Seems like a really good deal. Well Done.
There are some cracking deals on eBay just lately for Freelander 2's genuine parts and accessories. My Michelin set were ready for replacement at 45k. The best deal I found was a like for like replacement at Costco for £680 for the 4. I found an eBay lot from Marshalls of Lincoln (LR Dealers) For a brand new set of 18" alloys with Pirelli Nero's for £545 + £40 carraige. I not only got four brand new tyres but upgraded my wheels from 17" to 18". Granted these are 'old' brand new stock dated labelled 2007 but I, like you, feel comfortable that a bargain has been had!
Regards Firenze Red XS TD4 01/2013 . Averaging 1800 miles per month. My 5th Freelander in 11 years. Devotee?

Did you tell your insurance company about the change in wheels? I wanted to go to 19" from 18" and my insurance company said it would not insure me, and that fitting the wheels would void my insurance.Has anyone else had trouble with insurance companies and fitting bigger wheels? Stornaway grey SE auto with 18" alloys

If you look on ebay you'll find 4x 19' triple sports with the same tyres for £649 minus £50 If you pay by cash/card No paypal. They have been coming up regular for a couple if months now.

I put them on for a day and realised they look Censored , so swapped the tyres onto my shadow chromes.
Wheels are worth a tenner each scrap value. No market for wheels no tyres.
