GS spec over XS?

I've been looking for an XS spec' in px for my car but they seem a little few and far between in my price range, how does the GS compare apart from the omission of leather? I'm not sure if the spec's on the LR site are right for an 06/07 plate car Confused

08 and earlier XS gains over GS

part leather
bluetooth
better radio
electric seats
front pdc
dash aluminium (affect)strips
slightly different alloys - but same size tyres

and possibly (someone with a GS may correct me?)
auto wipers
auto lights
parcel shelf/ load cover

new specs on website are indeed a lot different At work

England 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 XS Manual Santorini Black

Hi Dunk,

I chose the GS over the XS when mine was new (May 2008) as I could not see that the extra bits were worth about £3kish extra - Probably not much difference now with depreciation so maybe worth going for the XS.

GS does have the auto lights (can be a little tempremental on mine) Auto wipe and boot load cover Thumbs Up

Either way you can't really go wrong Smile FL2 TD4 XS Santorini

XS gets an engine and gear box, GS has pedals and an 27 speed shimano bike setup with optional front hook for cart horses Laughing a good car for keen rose gardeners.

XS also gets more courtesy lights I remember.

If buying again I would probably go for a black GS, then re-upholster with leather and bling up the wheels a bit.. about £1500 to do both At work

I went for the GS and added a leather re-trim, leather wheel (the plastic one is horrid!) bigger alloys and an aftermarket bluetooth which saved about 2 grand on the list price of the XS at the time but I would go for the XS with the sports pack if I were buying now as the difference in specs seems to be higher now...

Either way you won't be disappointed!

Thanks all.......that helps a lot. I just missed a GS in the right colour and at the right price Sad Ah well, keep looking.

Incidentally if anyone knows of anybody interested in doing a deal, I have an 06 BMW330d touring with plenty of extra's in good nick, full history etc. Happily put up details if required.

I went for the GS cos I didn't like the blue/black tacky leather combo (57 Reg MY) was gonna add the blue tooth but was a 6 weeks wait so got a nokia kit fitted. The only things I wish I had was the front PDC and the better radio.
