I've got a similar bit of kit at home called the HDX-1000 (same Syabas internals). Good idea but not quite sure how robust it would be in a car environment. |

I use this HDD Player . Works excellent - I used double sided padded sticky tape to tape it onto the side of the centre tunnel so that it doesn't get seen/kicked/nicked. New: Freelander2 GS 62 plate (MY13) - Santorini Black with Clearview & Front PDC

I have just won a ICY Box Media Player (http://www.nanopoint.com.tw/en/datasheet/IB-MP303S-B_UK.pdf) on eBay so I will let you know how it goes. It runs on 12v so I should be able to take a feed to it direct. |

First testing went well, i have created a power cable that can take power direct from the car power socket and also modified the media player so the remote control receiver is on a fly cable so I can hide the box under the seat and the remote for the device will still work.
