Tailgate dead . Won't work on dashboard switch not fobs. No noise no clicking just dead. Not fuel cap either. In dahboard it say tailgate open. Latch and switch is new.
I suspect something with power or broken wire. Fuse F25 is OK.
Tailgate is open and dismantled. Have mesured and have no signal here.
I will try to put some signal/power in to the wires to se if message in dashboard change or something works. Have the electric chema, but not sure if they should be feeded with 12 v pluss or minus.
Someone knows?

Have you tried to see that 12v is definitely available at F25 as that seems to be the last common point in the power system. From there they go to separate relays and operating signals.

Have you downloaded the Repair Manual and Wiring Diagrams

Thank’s for answer. I have a wiring diagram, but will check this out. It is not 12 volt on F25 and fuel cap don’t lock either. Not sure it should be 12 volt all time or only when lock is activated.

Page 3090 (of Wiring Diagrams) has the information you require.

F25 is fed via FE17 in Battery Junction Box from Battery.

I can see that electronic logic plays a part in what will work, however as you are working on the Tailgate Latch I suggest you start rechecking there.

Ok so now we have 12 volt to F25 and fuel cap is working. But still no 12V to tailgate lock if we use key or button. But open if we put 12v direct on the wire on lock.
Must be broken wire or something with relay-tailgate r278. Can’t find it, could it be integrated with something?

Does your Number Plate Lamp light up, its on the same earth as Tailgate Latch? (G4D149-1)

The relay feeds Latch via a Wight - Orange wire.

Latch AJAR signal is fed back via Yellow - Orange wire.

When dealing with Junction Boxes it can be confusing as some bits are physical components and other bits are logical representations of electronics.

Have a look at these posts by RPA who took the trouble of investigating and writing up findings of his recent electrical problem.
