TPMS

Good day all, help needed. Just had my FL2 MOT’ed and as Murphy’s law sates it will be perfect until you test it! Drove into the test bay and the TPMS system is playing up. Dash says ‘Tyre Pressure system fault’. Mot tester says this is not a sensor fault but a system issue. Battery was a bit down so I charged it and the warning light went off and stayed off long enough to pass the test. However it’s come back on again and now the light flashes for a few seconds and then comes on and stayed on. Any ideas?

Have you tried charging the battery again to see if the TPMS goes off again. At least that would rule out a discharged battery. Now at the point when I learn something new something old is lost out the other side !
Now retired so it doesn't matter anymore.
Freelander now gone.

Got back on this yesterday as for once the sun was shining!
Yes I recharged the battery and have since completed several long runs to make sure the battery was well up. I know it’s now well charged as the stop/start system is working again.
The tpms system failure light comes on every time I turn the ignition on.

Have you tried a "hard reset" - disconnect battery and connect NEG and POS wires together for about 30secs to drain down all capacitors. Maybe worth a try. Jules
