Rear brakes pistons with EPB

Hi,

On rear brakes with electric parking brake do you still need to rotate piston clockwise to wind back or can it just be pushed straight back as EPB is in service mode

Thanks

If it’s in Service mode the piston expanding mechanism should be retracted so piston will go straight back into caliper…….against fluid pressure…….

Ok ….no probs…
Just an afterthought : check calipers slide ok on the guide pins…….last one I did….a few years ago…thé lower pins were rusted solid…….wears out the outer pad quickly if the caliper doesn’t slide smoothly….. FL2 SD4 HSE Lux Auto MY 2012— current

yes - I always regrease the sliders - if corroded then I'd install new slider pins and rubber boots - the kit is inexpensive from ebay
