Mounting spotlights and antenna

Three questions,
I am fitting extra spotlights to my FL2 . They will be fitted to a roof rack bar for various reasons , fitting them with available brackets to the front grill is a bit dubious considering the condition of some of our roads.

Where should I drill a hole to rout the wires through , I am not keen to let these cables go through the profiles on the door/body. I am also mounting a VHF 2 way radio and would like to rout the antenna cable the same way, I dont mind drilling a hole in the roof ( obviously behind the sun roof ) suggestions would be welcome.

Also switches for the spotlights in the vehicle, mounting places , suggestions welcome.

OR !!

instead of spotlights, should I consider replacing the light bulbs to something better, I also have a Jeep Wrangler TJ and replaced the complete headlights with new LED lights, spotlights then became un-necessary

I would route the cables down the windscreen pillar where there is a gap between the glass and the pillar, into the engine bay. Route switch cable to the inside of the cabin via the bonnet release cable grommet in the bulkhead.

I fitted an auxiliary switch to the panel below the coin tray to the right of the steering wheel.

If you have single HB3 bulbs in your headlights (projector type) an hid or led upgrade kit is fantastic, loads of threads on here about them. Landrover - turning owners into mechanics since 1948
