This issue popped up out of nowhere 3 weeks ago with the temp gauge being at the max, transmission fault, engine fault and HDC system fault all at the same time one day when trying to start it up. It no longer cranks, the only working thing is the ignition.

We’ve tried a different battery, a new ECU programmed to my car, rebuilt the starter, a new coolant temperature sensor, programmed a new key, tested all the grounds and earths, added a new earth, checked all of the wiring with professional equipment and nothing has fixed it.

2 things to note, my immobiliser light seems to not be working how it used to, it’s on when the car is locked however as soon as it’s unlocked, it goes out straight away (it used to go off before when my key was in ignition) and the steering lock doesn’t come on anymore, even with the engine off and car locked the wheel is free to be turned to whatever direction (this worked fine previously).

Does any one have any idea on what could be the problem as it’s been off the road for 3 weeks now and is my only car, thanks!

Well if the steering lock isn’t working as expected, seeing as there is an interlock that disables ignition (whether that means turning over the engine I don’t know) that would be a place to start.
