Welcome
This is an excellenmt site for checking the VIN and part numbers for components https://parts.jaguarlandroverclassic.com/p...and-rover/ I think The HID lights only came on the top end versions ie HSE, or Metropolis. My 2014 SE Tech has heated seats and windscreen but no HID nor sunroof. Old batteries with reduced voltage cause a miriad of electrical problems. Checking the battery is a first on my list. Nothing else specific for the FL2 that I can think of. Jules |

HID xenon came only on HSE Lux and Metropolis models.

I bought my first SD4 (2010 XS) in 2012. It was serviced by various garages as per LR Schedule.

Many thanks all.
I really like the look of the FL2 on the left, although the rear looks like it is sitting a bit too high. I think they are 245/70R17's tyres on steel 17" rims. So a 40mm lift kit would be on the list. Plus a remap, I know you don't get the same gains on 3.2, but plenty of places claim approx 10%, giving it about 250hp. The SD4 also seems to map to over 200hp. |

AFAIK The only thing the 3.2 got over the TD4/SD4 was slightly bigger diameter front brake disks (uses same pads and caliper, just a different caliper carrier and the bigger disks).

The SD4 is surprisingly quick for diesel SUV - its relatively light and has 4WD

I looked in to a retune/remap of my 3.2 when I first bought it 9 years ago. I was constantly told that being naturally aspirated, there really wasn't any real gains to be made in terms of getting any more performance from the engine unless I installed a turbo !

Thanks. So, many years ago the head of Ford SVO once said, "too much power, is just enough!".
