England 2012 Freelander 2 SD4 HSE Lux Auto Santorini Black

Bossbob : with all due respect re-read my post……..!!!
Not a “Newby mistake”

I wrote that thé 1st time I changed the fuel filter I wondered why LR didn’t do as per my previous car :Disco 2 TD5 & fit à pressure pump in the tank…….thus avoiding air-locks problems that lots of owners have reported…………this has to be true….but : downside being, in my case thé said pressure pumps became noisy….I was thinking a failure was imminent , & doing lots of miles I changed them…….ditto the pressure regulator which reduced fuel pressure from the 75 lbs/sq.in supplied by pump in tank….but have a tendency to leak fuel ……changed 3 times in 470k mls as well………
So perhaps à fuel pressure pump in the tank wasn’t a good idea given the lack of quality of product !
Pump was £150 ea
Press.Reg was£90 ea.& à pig of à job…..!
Perhaps the LR 2 system is ok after all….! Provided thé system is correctly primed. FL2 SD4 HSE Lux Auto MY 2012— current

Neat setup Artic……does the job….! As I wrote yesterday LR could have fitted a primer for a few pence

The last time I changed my fuel filter and bled it as per usual, it would start, but not run for long.

In the end I plugged in my icarsoft v2.0 LR and got an error code related to the fuel temp.

Cleared it and and all was well.
