Winch plate for a Freelander 2 (2011) and what size winch

I am going to fit a winch plate to my Freelander 2. are there any designs available that I could use to have the various components laser cut locally (South Africa) this would be much appreciated and save me a load of time.

Also , what size winch should I consider, I will unlikely get stuck in ravines and rocks, more than likely mud and sand.

Very few FL2 owners have fitted winches because of the huge changes that need to be made to add a winch to the front of the car.

I don't see it being more of a mission than any other vehicle, almost all vehicles would need a new front bumper with integrated winch plate, in this case you would fit a winch plate to an existing but removable cross member then cut away a small section for the hause fairlead and replace the bumper. The electrics would be much the same.

I have tried to get some form of answers from Muddy Mods and from John Craddock , not even a "go to hell" reply .... So will end up designing it my self then getting it manufactured locally . The drawings will be AutoCAD drawings, and I will make this available to whoever wants it after I have fitted mine and all works well. ( which it will )

Best of luck, I hope it goes well. Muddy mods are the only company I can think of that would be any help and as you say you have already tried them.
