Help, I Can’t fold larger part of rear seat forward

I have a 2013 plate Freelander 2 TD4 S 2.2.
With regards to the rear seat, I can pull the smaller section up and forward using the tab that sticks up at the back, but when I try to lift the larger section it seems to be fastened underneath at a point in the centre of the car.
I can’t see any sort of release lever and the manual I have downloaded says that the seat should just lift
by pulling the tab.

Am I missing something obvious or do I have to use some hefty brute force?
Thanks

The seat base has a rather strong plastic clip that holds it down have some weetabix and give it a good pull will probably break the plastic clip but not needed anyway, 2013 FL2 XS.

I had issues for a long time with both seats so I took both plastic clips out to prevent any broken fingers trying to release them. You might need weetabix and a bowl of porridge but they will release Rolling with laughter

Thanks for the info. I had three weetabix, some porridge and topped it off with some spinach and have
managed to get the seat free 😃👍
