Headlight wiring

I have read lots of posts around headlight wiring and everything point you to the ceramic connectors. I have replaced the connectors on MY13 FL2 however the wire continues to melt.
I have since decided to replace the bulb and purchased a HID kit as I thought the regulator/resistor would solve the issue…... I am still getting the same issue with the nearside wire melting. Can anyone help?

where is it melting exactly?

Assuming it's not touching something hot, melting is usually due to a loose terminal at the end which is arcing, the heat from that passes down the wire and melts the insulation.
