EGR issue

I've had the dreaded red triangle of doom and restricted performance appear on the dashboard over the last few days.
Reading the fault codes its appears issue is with the egr valve.

Car is apparently running fine despite this message.
From reading posts on here it looks like the egr valve will need replacing but then will require reprogramming using software of a more advanced level than what my Autel is capable of, unless anyone knows different?
I'm thinking it's a job best left to an indy mechanic as changing it on a DIY basis won't fully fix the issues?
It's also a bit of a fiddly job apparently too.
Got me thinking too, has anyone had their egr valve deleted and software remapped to allow it to run without this, does this then cause dpf issues further down the line? Landrover - turning owners into mechanics since 1948

I contacted Autel's customer services department and they confirmed that their AP200 does NOT have this function.
Much as I dislike paying garages to work on my car I'm veering towards taking it to an indy for this job so that the necessary reprogramming can be done, unless anyone is aware of a DIY solution? Landrover - turning owners into mechanics since 1948

Because it is such a ball ache of a job I would be inclined to get A good indy to do it personally, as for the delete not sure if it would be ok on the MOT?? 2013 FL2 XS.

It wouldn't be an issue with current mot tests, not here in Northern Ireland anyway as they don't check diesel emissions currently.
I'd hate to have it done then the rules change or roadside spot checks into. Landrover - turning owners into mechanics since 1948
