I leave mine on Automatic, works very well.

That is exactly what I do. Yet, when compared to when the heating is directed to the windscreen or face vents, the flow and temperature is lower. I was wondering something was obstructing flow to the footwells. Freelander 2 TD4 HSE 2010

Airflow is controlled by Flaps and stepper Motors -- details in Climate Control section of Repair Manual

Thank you. This is useful and it looks as though I need to spend some time trying to find any problems with the ducting and the motor/flap arrangements. There are no error messages regarding the motor/flaps, so will start by checking the ducting.

Have you downloaded the Freelander Repair Manual and Wiring Diagrams?
