The fuel tank is the lowest point of the car and can drag on the ground. I fitted a Mantec tank guard as well as their sump guard extension but they are hard to come by now. When you get an FL2 check that the air cleaner box drain valve is in place. If you take the car into water if this isn’t there you can suck water into the air intake - hydrolock!! |

They come up 2nd hand on the groups every now and then. To the most part people fit and forget about them so sometimes they don't realise the guard is still on when they sell their car . Although if someone is leaving the off-roading scene they will often "revert" their car back to standard and sell off all the other bits. Although sometimes there isn't much of a saving to be had between used and new seeing as there isn't much pre-owned stuff floating around to lower the costs . https://www.youtube.com/@scottandalana4x4 |
