Passenger front door handle removal

Hello. I am trying to change the front passenger door lock actuator.

I have tried to release the cables on the actuator without any success.

I then read that removing the outer handle, then the inner part of the handle would then allow me to remove the actuation and the inner handle together which would make the job much easier.

I have removed the small part of the outer handle, then have slid the handle backwards. I then expected to pull at the handle and it would release, but despite many attempts it won’t come off.

On the passenger’s door there is the emergency key lock. Does this need removing also before the handle will come off - otherwise is there anything else I’m missing??

Thanks for any tips. Door in bits at the moment 🙈🌧️

Yes thank you - I followed that, but my handle will not come off. Thanks for taking time to reply.

The key lock need removing on the passenger side. Then the handle slides out.

You did well. I couldn’t manage the cables myself.
