What do you guys carry in your 'Freelander Emergency Kit'?

Just wondering what everyone's breakdown kit looks like. Had to add hoseclamps to mine this weekend.

Headed to work and audible BANG, and an instant loss of power. Engine rough idling and smoke pouring out the back. On the verge of stalling when stationary.

Easy to see what's going on - Intercooler to Engine hose has popped off. Hose clamp nowhere to be found.

A short limp to the nearest auto supply store for some clamps and back in business. Wouldn't have been fun if i wasn't right in town when it happened.

So yeah, what parts do you guys like to have with you for those "ah nuts" moments away from home?

I will be very interested in the replies to this post, as I thought that modern reliable cars made this a redundant subject.
It is years (decades) since I carried a tool kit and things like fan belts. The only things I have now are a a 12v Lithium Battery Booster, a Multitool/Knife, and a LR Warranty/Recovery.

50 or more years ago it was necessary to carry a comprehensive tool kit and many spares and bits.
I can remember (in the early 60s) limping to a garage at about midnight, and successfully convincing the petrol salesman to allow me to remove and purchase a fan belt off of one of the second-hand cars in the stock.

(TOUCH WOOD)
So far in my 12+years of FL2 ownership I haven't had it completely stop on me. FL2 XS SD4 Auto 2010 2012-2017 (21k - 91k miles) (MY2011)
FL2 Metropolis SD4 Auto 2014 2017- (16k - 77k+ miles) (MY2015)
Metro in its 11th Year of (Extended) LR Warranty / Full LR Service History
(Expensive, but Trouble/Worry free - hopefully?)

No hoses but I carry a basic set of sockets and spanner’s screwdrivers a torch with an extendable magnet that comes out of the middle (most useful thing ever) pliers a roll of duct tape a bunch of tie wraps a tin of WD40 a leatherman type multi tool a spare bulb set a roll of silicon sealing tape that stretches and is supposed to seal anything but I’ve never used it my trusty Noco jump starter and an air compressor. It all fits into a bag with Velcro fastening I got from Lidl for a fiver.

I guess there's not many places in the UK now that it just wouldn't be easier to call your favorite breakdown service. Still very 1970's in that aspect out this corner of the world.

The most overkill item i carry is a spare crankshaft position sensor. I've been burnt before (plus the choice for replacement is waiting 2 weeks for it to be sent from UK, or paying a 500% mark up locally).

Cable ties and tape (can look a little dodgy i know!)
Basic socket set and screwdrivers. Torx Bits as well.
Lithium Jumper
Fuses
Hose clamps
Jumper cables
Tow cable
Ratcheting tie downs
Warm clothes, comfortable shoes to walk home, basic 'i'm going to have to sleep in the car' stuff (few years ago bomb scare shut down the only way out of town for about 6hrs during home time rush hour. Plus we live right next to a nice big volcano...)

To be honest, most of the time it's stopping to help someone else out and having the gear to do that. Que the joke "Of course i've got that, I drive a Land Rover".

When we was younger and used to go to france for annual holidays , I would take a Haynes manual for the car in case we broke down. Not for me but I thought that the pictures might help a French mechanic if need be. A tow rope and as said a breakdown company card.

Ha! No... when there's a tree in the road it's a good thing as can't get to work. Like being snowed in as a kid!
