seat base availability?

hi all
I'm looking for a seat base LR080328 - last time I bought one at around 100k miles it was around £100. Now it seems to have risen to some £500!! What are people doing - buying s/h seats instead of putting up with the saggy squabs?

Is that not the part number for the seat cover not the seat cushion. See below for seat cushion.

For me, that £200+ for a new cushion goes a long way toward next summer's planned Front shock absorber replacement...

I followed the "source a replacement from a breaker" route. Details here :- https://www.freel2.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=445915#445915.

Despite my comment on that thread about my original seat base cushion being beyond repair - I couldn't resist attempting to fix it using some samples of "severe" spec PU foam. I was quite pleased with the results, though the replacement seat base sourced from the breaker is still better, so it gets to stay in the car...

When the current seat cushion eventually fails (which is inevitable), I'll probably try repairing it with PU foam - or source any other passenger seat base (fabric or leather) & just swap over the current seat cover, rather than wait for the matching material to become available.

Good thinking mr apathy! Breakers seat bought and I’ll have a tweak of the foam.

And yes mr Sadler - that part no you gave is of course right and £220! I’m wondering if that handle relates to a Sadler 32 yacht?

With ref to Sadler 32. You are correct, it was a friends yacht which I had the odd day sail on. Unfortunately he no longer owns it. It was a lovely handling yacht.
