I have similar towbar. Beware, the locking key is flimsy and if you drop towbar on to it while it is in the lock, it will break off leaving the key stem in the lock and it is impossible to retrieve. Fortunately mine broke in the unlocked position so I can still use he towbar.

Do not go down the road of the Towbar in the pictures, the Land Rover detachable is made by Brink/Thule and it is poor, I went through four I think in three years. The receiver where you insert the bar will wear and you will get a lot of play in it, it will make awful noises and is will fail an MOT in time. The one in the pictures is no different to the standard LR non HST Towbar.

Contrary to the title no fix has been found yet, if you want a detachable get like I did a Westfalia bar or like others a Witter one. p****d off with a Digital Keyboard Warrior
