Strange noise

Noticed last week a strange noise that went away but has now returned. Tried to upload a sound file of the noise but the upload tag does not work am I missing the obvious?

Maybe just myself can look at that file on the cloud, I am not sure. If I click on it it shows it fine but again might just be because it is on my pc. Not sure how to load onto youtube. Let me investigate.

Just tried says invalid file format. Maybe because it is not a video file.

What sort of noise is it ? is it road speed related or engine speed? where do you think it might be coming from? 2013 FL2 XS.

Noticeable with car creepoing forward or backwards, not engine speed related. Definitelt coming from around offside front wheel only.

I would jack the wheel off the ground and check wheel bearing, CV joint, driveshaft, possibly bent brake shield as a starting point. 2013 FL2 XS.

Brake back plates are known to rust through at the mounting points, which causes them to rub on the disc/rotor. Hyundai Ioniq 5 Ultimate. The family car.

Here is the cause of the noise. A pebble from the driveway had wedged itself between the back plate and the disc. A couple of notches in the back plate one of which served as a made to measure home for the pebble.

Thanks for the help guys.
