Thanks Jules, definately next step. We started at rear as the sensation is of rear wheel steer. The feeling is as if the rear starts to oscillate almost as if you were towing a trailer and it hits a certain frequency and sets up a to and fro swerve. |

Although it seems entirely physical, check for error codes in case the stabilisation is malfunctioning (it works on rear brakes)

Thanks Ian, it sounds as if I should try to find a specialist to do an error code check and then a general transmission/suspension mounting check.

Thanks All. Just to clarify, this happens on any road surface during moderate acceleration combined with a slight steer, a typical overtaking manoever. I described the movement as snaking as if there was a trailer causing it, but it happens without any trailer!
