Hi guys how you doing? First of all I just like to say this form is the best! And also if anybody answers this post I appreciate you taking the time and sharing your experience and advice with me.

Okay... I have got some 235/65/R17 tires on my FL2
And of course, I would like to make the overlook on the wheels and tires a little bit fatter and wider so my question here is because I am a beginner a newbie but I know that I'm going to use this car the majority of the time at the weekends up on the lanes and tracks in the mountains close to me so I can't have just the normal daily tires on.

I went into a wheel and tire specialist in my town today and he showed me some tires that were 50/50 which means City and off-road. To be honest I didn't think this was such a bad idea at first but obviously what I want to do is ask here in the forum if anybody has the same tire specs and spacers for them to pop out a little bit from the arches.
Which spacers have you used because obviously I want them to look good and pop out a bit so any advice on these topics would be fantastic especially if you have the same tire specs and have done something similar maybe you could put up your photo and give me some advice on what I need to do or do you think it's better to go up a size on the wheels and then put the spacers on?

Now obviously because I'm a newbie here and this stuff is all new, yup please excuse my lack of knowledge and I've tried to go through the forum but I'm just not getting it maybe I'm missing something maybe there are some forum posts that anybody can guide me to!

I have 265/60/18 a/t tyres on Range Rover Evoque wheels and 20mm spacers (I think, I can't remember).
My Freelander is also lifted by 40mm at the front and 50mm at the back.
Without the lift kit and wheel spacers, they would not fit the vehicle as they would rub - the fronts rub at the rear on full lock despite the spacers !
A/T or All Terrain tyres are a good idea for what you say you wish to do. However, you don't need to go big to get the look you are after. Especially if you do not wish to lift the vehicle either. You could stick with your original size tyre and the A/T will give it a chunkier look without the need for spacers. It all depends on whether you want to go larger. If you stick with the original size tyres then 15 - 20mm spacers will be more than adequate. But it all depends on how far you want to go.
I have had wheel spacers on my Freelander since I bought it 8 years ago and have had no problem with wheel bearings, as is commonly spouted by the naysayers.
I have also had 30mm spacers on all of my Freelander 1, again with no adverse affect.

Hi Tony. Our Freelander 2 come with 235/65/R17 tyres on when we brought it.



We brought a 40mm front, 50mm MuddyMods lift kit and put a set of 30mm wheel spacers on from MuddyMods. You can see the before and after in this video that I made:



I've also done a comparison video of before and after the car was lifted when it goes off road:



We then moved tyre size from 235/65/R17 to 245/65/R17

I've run my Freelander on 235/65/17 all terrain tyres on its standard 17" wheels then bought a set of Evoque/Discovery Sport 18" wheels and now have 235/60/18 all terrains fitted. The 18's have a wider off set and space the wheels slightly further out. Not sure by how much, maybe 15-20mm? I think it suits it better. Yeah thanks for that I was actually thinking the same about probably the next upgrade regarding wheels and tires will be from the Evogue 18s. I appreciate you getting back to me I'll be fitting the tires next week so I'll make a post or something like that.
